Hello Reader, Dr. GreeneBarr here with this week's prophetic message for your meditation and action. Before I jump into the week's message... 📲 Would you be interested in receiving text alerts from me notifying you when I'm sending emails? Alerts would help you, especially since I am a bit unscheduled about my mailings. Reply to this message with your thoughts. Thanks 👍🏽 Today's message: spiritual wisdom and interpretation. Our ability to spiritually interpret what we’ve experienced will determine how we respond outwardly and inwardly. This is wisdom and skill that I’ve grown into over the decades of serving God. Personal discipline sustains our responses to a range of experiences, especially difficult or uncompromising events. The difference between matching insult with insult or being gracious in the presence of demeaning behavior can be attributed solely to personal discipline, even without being spiritually capable of interpreting the matter. But, when you accept your role in the Kingdom of God, it becomes vital for you to interpret your experiences spiritually and not solely lean on personal discipline. I may end up expounding on this insight throughout a few emails, but…receive this portion today. Here is the context (Acts 5:12-16) The Apostles were curing many sick and tormented people. The response? A spirit of jealousy, operating through the high priest, moved against the Apostles and arrested them. An angel of the Lord immediately visits the Apostles, breaks them out of prison, and instructs them to continue telling the people the whole message about life in Jesus. The high priest, continuing under the influence of the spirit of jealousy but now coupled with the spirits of rage and murder, wants to kill the Apostles. Yet, behind closed doors, God tells the high priest and counsel, through Gamaliel, to “leave them alone.” God also tells the high priest and counsel that they would be found guilty of "fighting against God". Although the high priest and the others in the closed-door counsel meeting were convicted in their hearts, they failed to take heed. Instead, they flogged the Apostles (whipped with small pieces of metal or bone at the tips. Brutal treatment meant to disfigure and cause trauma). And for the second time, they ordered the Apostles not to speak in the name of Jesus before releasing them. Acts 5:41 documents the wisdom and skill of the Apostles to spiritually interpret their near-death experience. They spiritually interpreted the beating as an act (fighting) against God. These people with power were found fighting against God, but the Apostles were the ones who suffered the injuries. Their accurate interpretation produced a response of peace to the point they could rejoice in the dishonor that had been cast on the name of Jesus. How this prophetic message lands depends on what’s happening with you and God. Let me begin with those of you who can identify with the Apostles. 1. Irrespective of the attacks, lies, gossip and betrayal, done against you, know that God told them to “leave you alone”. In other words, it was NOT the Lord’s will for you to experience the brutality and attacks that you suffered when you were executing the instructions given to you by God. Side note: You may consider comparing their experiences to Paul's sufferings, but keep in mind that Jesus informed Paul ahead of time that he would suffer much for His name's sake. Whereas God expressly told this jealous group of leaders to leave the Apostles alone. Back to the message... 2. The beating that your body, mind, reputation, emotional well-being, finances etc.… have taken was meant to disfigure your outward and inner image, and to traumatize you so that you never move forward. Your experience’s anticipated results will not manifest if you possess spiritual wisdom and skill. Your image, inner and outer, will remain intact. You will continue to live and thrive by the power of God. Unrelenting to the powers of evil, but being empowered by the assessment that you endured what was meant to silence and/or kill you, God is your sustainer. Let me share with those of you who can identify with Gamaliel. Going against the prevalent mindset and enraged environment of those in the council, Gamaliel was the only one in that crowd whom God could get the attention for His voice to be heard. This means you are established in rooms and spaces with people who are at odds with God, but you can interpret the events in real-time and understand that the group is about to be found fighting against God by the actions they seek to take. Speak up! Sure, they may ignore you, but you are there to be the voice of God. In closing, if you restrict the breath of today’s prophetic message to church meetings and board room deliberations, you’ve missed it. Look broadly. Look comprehensively. Ask God to give you spiritual wisdom and interpretation of your experiences. Ask God to allow you to be a present-day Gamaliel. For those of you who are presently facing people who have become enraged against or envious of your boldness for God and godliness, take heart that even now, the Lord is telling them to “leave you alone”. Here is your prophetic instruction - Rise up and command the assaults and undermining attacks to “leave you alone!” Amen Much love, Rev. Hello Reader, It's Dr. GreeneBarr here with this week's prophetic message for your meditation and action. For a couple of weeks, there has been a message placed in my heart that I've allowed to shine a light from the heart of God into my meditation, and today, I'm ready to share it with you. 🔆 This light is shining on identity! Allow me to take you into my personal history for a bit. It was June 20, 1994 (if memory serves me well), and I was spending my summer as a first-year seminary student...
Dr. GreeneBarr here with this week's prophetic message for your meditation and action. Extreme cold blanketed many states this week. The news reports from Chicago, where electric cars had collapsed under the severity of the Arctic air, caught my attention. The batteries died in these cars, and many people waited hours upon hours in line for their turn to attempt to revive the life of their $40-80K+ vehicle. Some even abandoned their cars because the 1-degree temperatures made it impossible...
Dr. GreeneBarr here with this week's prophetic message for your meditation and action. A couple of days ago, this meme was texted to me. What do you think about the message? Does this message ring true when you examine it against what your pastors and spiritual influencers have taught you? I'll give you a moment to think about it. The essence of this meme is a doctrinal message. Now, I don't know who created this, but I know a doctrinal message when I see one. Let's talk about doctrine for a...
